Trey Anastasio Announces Solo Acoustic Tour for Spring 2025

Renowned Phish frontman Trey Anastasio is set to embark on a highly anticipated solo acoustic tour in the spring of 2025. This exciting tour will see Anastasio performing in theaters across the United States, with the first show scheduled for March 8 at Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts. The tour will conclude on April 5 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Fans eager to catch Anastasio live will be able to purchase tickets starting December 6. The ticket sales will vary by venue, and pre-sales are set to begin on December 4 through Tickets Today. Detailed information regarding the tour can be found on Anastasio’s official website.

This upcoming tour follows a busy and productive year for Anastasio, who has primarily focused on Phish’s latest album, Evolve. Released in July, this album marks the band’s first studio effort in four years. Throughout the summer, Phish toured extensively to promote the new album, and they are gearing up for their annual New Year’s Eve shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, scheduled for December 28 through 31. Following the New Year celebrations, the band will head to Mexico in January 2025 for their eighth Riviera Maya event.

In addition to his commitments with Phish, Anastasio has also been active with the Trey Anastasio Band this year. The band’s tour included a notable performance at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, where they were joined on stage by the legendary Bruce Springsteen. The surprise collaboration featured a jam session on Springsteen’s classic track “Kitty’s Back” from the album The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle.

Anastasio’s solo acoustic tours are a cherished tradition for both him and his fans. The last full solo acoustic tour took place in 2022, with previous tours in 2021, 2019, and 2018. In a recent interview, Anastasio expressed his love for these acoustic performances, highlighting their role in refining his songwriting skills. He emphasized the importance of a song’s core quality, stating, “I learned that if a song is a good song, it always works solo acoustic.” This insight echoes advice he received from producers over the years, including Brendan O’Brien, who insisted on the significance of presenting songs in their simplest form before heading into the studio.
