Research conducted by nutritionists at Rush University in Chicago revealed that consuming a daily serving of leafy greens could significantly slow age-related cognitive decline. Individuals who consumed two or more servings per day exhibited memory and recall abilities similar to those of individuals 11 years younger.

In addition to cognitive benefits, leafy greens have also been linked to a reduced risk of bowel cancer. A study by the World Cancer Research Fund, which analyzed data from 70,000 individuals, found that regular consumption of leafy greens could lower bowel cancer risk by up to seven percent.
