Microsoft is warning customers still using Windows 10 21H2 that support is coming to an end for enterprise and education users. The November 2021 update will no longer be serviced for these users starting in June 2024. Home, Pro, and Pro for Workstation editions already lost support in 2023.
For those on the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) versions, support will continue until 2027. The IoT Enterprise LTSC version will receive support until January 13, 2032. The final security update for affected devices is scheduled for June 2024.
Windows 10 version 22H2 has a cut-off date of October 14, 2025. However, certain LTSC editions will receive support beyond that date. The Windows 10 LTSC 2019 edition will be supported until January 9, 2029, and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 will end mainstream support on January 12, 2027.
Microsoft is encouraging users to upgrade to Windows 11, emphasizing the importance of staying up to date with the latest operating system. While many users have already transitioned to Windows 11, the deadline for Windows 10 support is looming, prompting users to consider their options.
As Microsoft progresses with its plans to retire Windows 10, users are urged to prepare for the shift to newer versions or alternative platforms. The tech giant’s focus on advancing its operating systems underscores the need for users to adapt to the changing landscape of software support.
