Indiana Falls to Nebraska 86-70 in Big Ten Matchup

Indiana suffered an 86-70 loss to Nebraska in a Big Ten matchup on Wednesday night. The Hoosiers, who had their season-opening starting lineup, struggled with turnovers, fouls, and defensive rebounds, leading to a significant deficit at halftime.

Indiana’s turnovers, totaling 19 for the game, proved costly as Nebraska capitalized on them, scoring 27 points off turnovers. Additionally, the Hoosiers allowed Nebraska to score 86 points, with the Huskers averaging an impressive 1.23 points per possession.

Despite the loss, Kel’el Ware stood out for Indiana, contributing 20 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes of play. However, his performance wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Nebraska’s dominant display on both ends of the court extended their lead throughout the game, ultimately securing a 16-point victory over Indiana.

With this defeat, Indiana’s record now stands at 10-4 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten play. The Hoosiers will need to regroup and address their turnovers and defensive lapses as they look ahead to upcoming matchups.
