Roy Morgan’s latest Federal voting intention poll has revealed a shift in the political landscape, with the Coalition overtaking Labor as the Cost-of-Living crisis intensifies. According to the survey, the L-NP stands at 51% (up 1%) while the ALP is at 49% (down 1%) on a two-party preferred basis.
The survey, conducted from January 2-7, 2024, involved 1,716 Australian electors. It showed a notable increase in support for the Coalition, which rose to 39%, reflecting a 1% rise from the previous month, while the ALP faced a setback with a 3% decline, leaving them at 29%. The Greens also saw an increase in support, rising to 13%, and One Nation to 5%, while Independents & Other Parties remained unchanged at 14%.
