Atlanta Hawks’ Garrison Mathews Returning to Bench for Monday’s Game

The Atlanta Hawks’ Garrison Mathews will be returning to the bench for Monday’s game against the Clippers, as reported by Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network. Mathews had temporarily filled in for Saddiq Bey during Saturday’s victory over Golden State, but Bey is set to return from an ankle sprain. Meanwhile, De’Andre Hunter continues to be on a minute restriction due to a knee injury.

After starting against the Warriors and receiving 15 minutes of play in his return, Mathews is now expected to resume his role coming off the bench. His status had been questionable for Friday’s game and he was subsequently set for a multi-game absence, but he is now back in the rotation.
