More Episodes of ‘Pokémon Concierge’ in Production, Netflix Announces

Get ready to book a trip back to the Pokémon Resort as more episodes of Netflix’s adorable animated series “Pokémon Concierge” are now in production, Netflix announced on Monday.

Director Iku Ogawa confirmed the news, stating, “I am happy to let you know that we are now working on the new episodes for ‘Pokémon Concierge!’ Life at the Pokémon Resort continues. Please look forward to it! Let’s see which Pokémon will come visit as a guest this time!”

The first four episodes of “Pokémon Concierge” premiered on Netflix on Dec. 28, 2023. The bite-sized, 15-minute episodes introduced Poké-fans to the Pokémon Resort, a tropical island devoted to rest and relaxation. Haru, voiced by “The Boys” star Karen Fukuhara, takes a trip to the resort and ends up becoming its newest concierge. She meets a variety of colorful Pokémon and befriends a lonely Psyduck, a water-type duck Pokémon.

Ogawa picked up an Annie Award nomination for his work on “Pokémon Concierge” in the best direction-TV/media category.

Producer Hidenaga Katakami previously teased what other kinds of Pokémon might be in store for future episodes, saying, “Because it’s on an island and we are near water, there are a lot of water-type Pokémon that appeared. In the future, maybe we’ll have some more water-type Pokemon, but at the same time, maybe it’ll be interesting if you do the opposite. For example, electric-type Pokemon are not really good near water, but maybe it’s interesting if you bring them to a water-rich environment and see how they react.”

Excitingly, more adventures and Pokémon encounters are on the horizon for fans of “Pokémon Concierge” as the series continues to captivate audiences with its charming and heartwarming stories set in the Pokémon Resort.
