WTW Appoints James Baum as Head of Australia and New Zealand

WTW, a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company, has announced a significant leadership change in Australia and New Zealand. James Baum has been appointed as the new Head of Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Head of Corporate Risk & Broking Australia and New Zealand, effective July 15, 2024.

James Baum brings over 30 years of experience to his new role at WTW. Previously with Aon, where he held various leadership positions, including Global Head of Wholesale & Specialty Broking, CEO of Australia, and Chief Broking Officer, James is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of supporting growth and managing business operations.

Pamela Thomson-Hall, WTW Head of International and Head of Risk & Broking International, expressed her excitement about James Baum joining the team, highlighting his calibre and the company’s ability to attract top talent. She emphasized the progress made in Australasia in recent years under Simon Weaver’s leadership and the potential for further growth with James at the helm.

James Baum himself commented on his appointment, expressing his enthusiasm for joining WTW during a period of significant growth and opportunity in Australasia.
