Xiaomi set to launch affordable Redmi A3 smartphone in India

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi A3, an affordable smartphone, in the Indian market. According to information from 91Mobiles Hindi, shared by tipster Paras Guglani, the base variant of the Redmi A3 is expected to be priced at less than Rs 7,000, with a higher-end variant anticipated to fall below Rs 9,000.

Previous leaks had already revealed the design and specifications of the Redmi A3, and a recent report showcased a live image of the device featuring a glossy, glass-like back. The smartphone is projected to sport a waterdrop-style notch and slim bezels on the top and sides. It is slated to be offered in three color options: Green, Blue, and Black. The back of the phone is rumored to house a circular camera module housing dual cameras and an LED flash.

The display is expected to measure 6.71 inches and utilize LCD technology, providing a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits peak brightness. Images of the retail packaging suggest a higher-end model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Other anticipated features of the Redmi A3 include a MediaTek chipset, a 13MP primary camera with an AI lens, an 8MP front camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, and Android 13 Go Edition as the operating system.
