Wisconsin’s Most-Googled Injuries

Wisconsin residents are turning to Google for answers when it comes to their injuries, according to data analyzed by personal injury law firm Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers. The firm found the top five most-Googled injuries in the state, shedding light on the health concerns of Wisconsinites.

At number five is poisoning, with an average of 2,225 searches per month. The various ways in which poisoning can occur, such as swallowing, inhaling, injecting, or splashing, make it a cause for concern.

Muscle strains come in at number four, with nearly 2,700 Google searches a month. Both acute and chronic strains are common, accounting for 55% of all sports injuries.

Number three on the list is carpal tunnel syndrome, with approximately 3,500 Google searches monthly. This condition causes pain and numbness in the hand and fingers due to pressure on a nerve in the wrist.

Shin splints take the second spot, with an average of 3,700 searches a month. Often caused by exercise, shin splints can lead to tenderness or pain along the inner side of the shinbone and mild swelling in the lower leg.

Claiming the top spot as Wisconsin’s most-Googled injury is bursitis, with over 4,000 average searches each month. Joint pain and swelling are common symptoms, often caused by repetitive movements or prolonged pressure on joints.

It’s clear that Wisconsinites are seeking information and understanding about these injuries, turning to Google to educate themselves about the symptoms and possible treatments. This data provides valuable insights into the health concerns of the state’s residents, highlighting the need for awareness and education on these common injuries.
