Wigle Whiskey Opens at PNC Park, Landslide Closes Road in Ross

Wigle Whisky has opened a location at PNC Park on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. A portion of the southbound lane of Evergreen Road in Ross will likely remain closed until a retaining wall can be built following a landslide that undermined the roadway.

Wigle Whiskey opens site at PNC Park

Wigle Whiskey food and spirits will be available at PNC Park this season, the Pittsburgh-based craft distillery announced on its website. The distillery’s North Shore menu will be available along Federal Street for every Pirates home game and headline events at the stadium. Game day menu items include garlic cheese curds, bourbon fries, smoked bourbon buffalo chicken dip, sandwiches, chopped salads and specialty cocktails like the Pirates’ Lemonade and Allegheny Aloha.

Landslide limits road access in Ross

One lane of Evergreen Road in Ross is closed because of a landslide that has undermined part of the road. The southbound lane between Tally Drive and Evergreen Community Park will likely remain closed until a retaining wall can be built, according to Allegheny County Public Works. A timeline for the road work has not yet been released. Public works deemed the northbound lane safe for traffic. Two-way traffic will be in effect at the northbound lane. Drivers should prepare for brief stoppages at the closure.
