WhatsApp Introduces Pop-Out Chat Feature for Windows Users

WhatsApp is set to introduce a new pop-out chat feature for its Windows users, aiming to enhance productivity by allowing users to engage in multiple conversations simultaneously. The feature, currently available to beta testers in update version 2.2407.9.0, enables users to detach individual chat windows from the main interface, creating standalone, resizable windows that can be positioned anywhere on the desktop.

The pop-out chat feature is expected to streamline communication and boost productivity, particularly for users managing multiple conversations or coordinating group activities. This update is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience and facilitate seamless communication.

In addition to the pop-out chat feature, WhatsApp has also announced the rollout of the ‘search by date’ functionality for personal and group chats on Android devices. This feature, previously available on iOS, Mac desktop, and WhatsApp Web, allows users to search for specific messages, photos, or videos sent on a particular date. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared his excitement about the convenience of this feature, emphasizing its value in retrieving past conversations and content.
