Wesley Matthews Ruled Out of Wednesday’s Game Due to Calf Soreness

Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Wesley Matthews has been ruled out of Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to right calf soreness. Matthews, averaging 6.4 FanDuel points per game this season, has been downgraded from questionable to out, paving the way for Bogdan Bogdanovic to potentially see increased minutes off the bench.

In other recent NBA player news, the Toronto Raptors are set to start Dennis Schroder on Wednesday in place of the injured Pascal Siakam, while the Los Angeles Lakers list Rui Hachimura as doubtful and Anthony Davis as probable for their Thursday matchups. Additionally, Cam Reddish and LeBron James are questionable for the Lakers’ game on Thursday.

For the Atlanta Hawks, Onyeka Okongwu will start in place of the inactive Clint Capela, and Dejounte Murray is active despite a hamstring issue. Trae Young is also active for the Hawks’ Wednesday matchup, alongside Wesley Matthews, who is ruled out due to calf soreness. Clint Capela, on the other hand, is ruled out, and Dejounte Murray is questionable for the Hawks’ upcoming game.
