Walmart shoppers in Massachusetts could be eligible for refunds in class-action settlement

Massachusetts shoppers are facing a tough time with soaring food prices, leaving many struggling to stretch their food budgets. However, relief may be in sight for Walmart food shoppers who have felt the pinch of overpriced items.

CBS News has reported that Walmart is embroiled in a class-action settlement over allegations of overcharging for weighted items, including packaged meat, poultry, pork, seafood, and bagged citrus. If you made purchases of these products between Oct. 19, 2018, and Jan. 19, 2024, you could be eligible for a refund of up to $500, provided you have a receipt. Those without a receipt may still be entitled to a lesser amount.

For those interested in participating in the settlement, the deadline to submit a claim is June 5. It’s important to take action before this date to ensure you don’t miss out on the opportunity for potential compensation.
