Volvo P1800 Cyan ‘GT’ Unveiled for Grand Touring

The new Volvo P1800 Cyan ‘GT’ has been unveiled by Swedish touring car enthusiasts Cyan Racing, offering a softer, more comfortable version of the classic Volvo P1800. This new iteration of the P1800 Cyan, first introduced in 2020, is designed for grand touring, departing from the track-focused nature of its predecessor.

Unlike the 2020 model, which boasted a turbocharged 2.0-litre touring car engine producing 414bhp, the 2024 Volvo P1800 Cyan ‘GT’ offers a wider range of engine outputs, ranging from 345bhp to 414bhp. The suspension has been adjusted for country roads and long-distance cruising, emphasizing drivability over sheer performance.

Furthermore, the new Volvo P1800 Cyan ‘GT’ features a five-speed Holinger gearbox and rear-wheel drive, housed in a reinforced bodyshell made of high-strength steel and carbon fiber. The interior has been enhanced with increased sound deadening, more comfortable seats, and a redesigned titanium roll cage for improved comfort.

Each car is customized according to the customer’s preferences, with the initial model featuring a striking green exterior and a sand-colored interior. However, due to the bespoke nature of each vehicle, the production time for a single car ranges between 12-15 months.
