In recent news, Vietnam has reported a decline in cement production for the first four months of 2024. According to the General Statistics Office, the country’s cement output fell by 0.7% year-on-year, totaling 57.6 million metric tons during this period.

Specifically, in April 2024, Vietnam produced 16.8 million metric tons of cement, marking a 0.7% decrease compared to the previous year. This downward trend follows a similar pattern from 2023 when the country’s cement production dropped by 4.5% to 120.1 million metric tons.
