Van Jones, the Emmy-Award-winning broadcast journalist, has welcomed his fourth baby, a baby boy, with his friend Noemi Zamacona through ‘conscious co-parenting.’ This marks the second child for Jones and Zamacona, who previously had a baby girl together in 2022.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Jones expressed his gratitude, saying, ‘God is so good! This year, He blessed me and Noemi with kid #2 — a healthy, happy, beautiful baby boy. Our daughter loves him so much — maybe a little TOO much. (She kisses him like Woody Woodpecker, and he barely survives her hugs!)’ Jones also mentioned that their modern family is thriving, and they appreciate the love and support they have received.
According to a close source, the new baby boy was conceived through the conscious co-parenting approach, a concept that Jones has been an advocate for. In February 2022, Jones initially shared his experience of becoming a father with Zamacona and embracing conscious co-parenting.
‘After the COVID lockdown, I got clear that I wanted another kid. I discovered that my friend Noemi also wanted a baby. So we decided to join forces and become conscious co-parents,’ Jones stated. ‘This month we welcomed to Earth a baby girl, whom we will raise as coparenting partners. This is a special time for our families. I feel grateful, joyful and blessed.’
Van Jones is no stranger to fatherhood, as he also shares two sons with his ex-wife Jana Carter, whom he separated from in 2018. Despite their split, Jones and Carter have maintained a positive co-parenting relationship, focusing on raising their children together and supporting each other’s growth.
As Jones continues to navigate his role as a father to four children, his commitment to conscious co-parenting and creating a loving environment for his kids remains at the forefront of his journey.
