Universal Studios Hollywood Unveils ‘The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show’

Universal Studios Hollywood is set to unveil a thrilling new live show called ‘The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show’ as part of its Waterworld attraction, inspired by the upcoming film ‘The Fall Guy’ starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. This limited-time entertainment spectacle will run from April 27 to May 19, offering visitors a unique behind-the-scenes look at the world of stunt performances.

The show, produced by 87North Productions, founded by director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick, will showcase an original storyline that delves into the intricacies of creating and executing daring stunts. Leveraging the existing Waterworld set, the performance promises to captivate audiences with its action-packed sequences.

In a promotional video, ‘Fall Guy’ actor Hannah Waddingham pitches the live show concept to Gosling, Blunt, and Leitch, receiving enthusiastic approval from the director who exclaims, ‘I smell a live show!’ The show’s premise revolves around Colt Seavers, played by Gosling, a stuntman on a mission to locate a missing film star, offering a modern twist on the beloved 1980s TV series.

Leitch expressed excitement about the venture, stating, ‘We make movies to give audiences an experience, and what better way to amplify 87North’s brand of action storytelling than to evolve into live events. We are so thankful to our partners at Universal who embraced our ideas and gave us the platform to do something really fun and immersive with ‘The Fall Guy.’

With a star-studded cast including Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Waddingham, and Stephanie Hsu, ‘The Fall Guy’ is poised to deliver a thrilling cinematic experience when it hits theaters on May 3. This innovative blend of film and live entertainment marks a significant milestone for 87North Productions, known for its action-packed filmography that includes hits like ‘John Wick,’ ‘Atomic Blonde,’ and ‘Deadpool 2.’
