Universal Music Group and CEO Lucian Grainge Removed from Lawsuit Alleging Aid in Sexual Abuse Case

In a surprising turn of events, Universal Music Group (UMG) and CEO Lucian Grainge have been removed from a lawsuit that accused them of aiding and abetting Sean “Diddy” Combs in alleged sexual abuse. The decision to drop the music giant and its CEO from the case came after the lawyer representing the accuser admitted that there was no legal basis for the claims.

The reversal occurred following UMG’s strong objections to the allegations, with the company even planning to seek legal penalties against the accuser’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, for including them in the lawsuit. Blackburn, in a sworn declaration filed in court, acknowledged that there was no legal foundation for the claims against the UMG defendants and requested an immediate dismissal with prejudice.

UMG’s lead attorney, Donald Zakarin, concurred that the accusations should be dropped but expressed criticism towards Blackburn for initiating the claims without merit. Zakarin emphasized that from the outset, there was no factual or legal basis for the allegations against UMG and its CEO.

When approached for comment, Blackburn refrained from providing specific details on the case and advised against reaching out to him for further information.
