Despite facing a shooting slump, Harrison Ingram has continued to make a positive impact on North Carolina’s performance in recent games. During the Tar Heels’ two ACC road wins at Pittsburgh and Clemson, the forward struggled with a combined 5-of-24 shooting from the field, yet managed to contribute significantly to the team’s victories. At Pitt, Ingram recorded a career-high 15 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots, compensating for his poor shooting performance.
UNC coach Hubert Davis praised Ingram’s overall contribution, emphasizing his hard work, impact on the floor, and positive attitude despite his shooting struggles. Davis highlighted Ingram’s significant plays, including a crucial layup and a 3-pointer that helped secure the win against Pitt. In the game against Clemson, despite shooting 3-of-10 from the field, Ingram’s defensive efforts and key plays, such as a timely 3-point shot, contributed to the team’s success.
It is worth noting that Ingram’s recent shooting challenges have been compounded by a right-wrist injury sustained in December. Despite this setback, his determination and ability to contribute in various aspects of the game have been commendable.
