Tractor Supply Foundation Steps Up to Support Relief Efforts After Severe Weather
Tractor Supply Company and its foundation have pledged over $150,000 to aid communities affected by recent devastating storms in various states across the U.S. The foundation’s generous donations aim to assist those hardest hit by the severe weather conditions in Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
The Tractor Supply Company Foundation has contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief to provide aid to residents in the impacted regions. In addition, they have allocated $50,000 to the State of Texas Agriculture Relief (STAR) Fund to offer support to farmers, ranchers, producers, and agribusiness owners in Texas who have been affected by the harsh weather.
Local Tractor Supply stores in the affected areas have also played their part by distributing gift cards to various organizations and shelters. These cards can be used to procure essential supplies like pet products, tools, tarps, gloves, generators, and more. Team Members from the stores are actively assisting their communities by ensuring emergency supplies are readily available and offering support wherever needed.
Marti Skold-Jordan, the manager of the Tractor Supply Company Foundation, expressed the company’s commitment to helping communities in times of crisis. She stated, ‘When disaster strikes, our first thoughts are always of our many friends and neighbors in these communities. It is our privilege to contribute to these relief organizations and offer on-the-ground support whenever possible to help these communities recover and rebuild.’
Furthermore, a portion of the funds raised during the Tractor Supply and Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation Relief for Rescues fundraiser will be used to aid animal shelters in the severely affected areas. Through a partnership with Greater Good Charities, the Relief For Rescues Fund has also provided pet food and wellness vaccines to families with pets in Texas and Oklahoma.
The recent severe weather events, including approximately 125 reported tornadoes from May 6-10, have caused significant damage across the U.S. The American Red Cross has deployed around 440 trained disaster workers to assist those affected by the tornadoes and flooding by providing shelter, meals, health services, and relief supplies.
