New York Lottery officials have announced the sale of a top-prize winning ticket worth $40,480 for a March 8 drawing in New York City. The winning TAKE 5 ticket was sold at Apna Food & Oil Corp., located at 65-10 Queens Blvd., in Woodside, Queens.
The TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, and the drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners of a Lottery draw game prize of any amount may claim it up to one year from the date of the drawing. Additionally, TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket can check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.
The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot are one in 575,757. The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $1 billion in fiscal year 2022-23 to support education in New York State.
