Eight of the world’s Top 10 players are set to compete in the upcoming ecotrans Ladies Open in Berlin, Germany, marking the first WTA 500 grass-court tournament of the year. Since 2021, Berlin has been a significant stop in the grass-court swing for the tennis elite.

When is the Tournament?

Main-draw action for the week-long event will begin on Monday, June 17 and run through Sunday, June 23. Qualifying rounds are scheduled for the preceding weekend on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16.

Field Size

The singles main draw will feature a 28-player field, with the top four seeds receiving first-round byes. 18 players will have direct entry, while six qualifiers and four wild cards will complete the singles lineup. The doubles main draw will consist of 16 teams, including two wild-card pairings.

The tournament will utilize the Slazenger Wimbledon ball.

Finals Schedule

The singles final is set for Sunday, June 23 at noon, followed by the doubles final. All matches will be played in Central European Summer Time (GMT+2).

The main draw in Berlin will feature top seeds Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, and Jessica Pegula. Notably, No.6 seed Zheng Qinwen will face Naomi Osaka in the opening round.
