Tim Tszyu to Face Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas for Super Welterweight Title

Tim Tszyu is set to face off against Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas on Sunday in a bid to add another super welterweight world title to his collection. Originally scheduled to fight Keith Thurman, Tszyu will now take on Fundora for the WBO and WBC super welterweight titles after Thurman withdrew due to a bicep injury.

Fundora, who was initially set to fight his former sparring partner Serhii Bohachuk, has been elevated into the main event to take on Tszyu. The American’s towering 6-foot 6-inch frame presents a unique challenge for Tszyu, given the staggering 23cm height difference between the two fighters. However, Tszyu’s trademark ripping body shots could spell danger for Fundora.

Australian middleweight star Michael Zerafa will also feature on the card as he takes on Erislandy Lara for the WBA middleweight title, aiming to win his first world championship after patiently biding his time despite setbacks outside of the ring.
