Tigres del Licey, the renowned Dominican baseball team, has arrived in Miami, ready to defend their Caribbean Series title. The two-time national champions and reigning Caribbean champions touched down at Miami International Airport via a charter flight operated by Sky Cana. They were accompanied by the Club Atlético Licey board of directors, led by President Ricardo Ravelo Jana and other key figures from the baseball operations department.
The team, often referred to as the ‘Kings of the Caribbean,’ is scheduled to kick off their Caribbean Series campaign by facing the Sharks of La Guaira on Thursday at 9:30 PM. Their second match will be against a Nicaraguan team on Friday at 4:30 PM, followed by a high-stakes encounter against Puerto Rico’s Criollos de Caguas, their archrivals, on Saturday. On Sunday, they will take on the Naranjeros de Hermosillo from Mexico at 9:30 PM, followed by matches against teams from Curaçao and Panama in the following days.
The tournament follows a round-robin format for the first six dates, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals will compete in the final scheduled for February 10. Tigres del Licey is determined to maintain their dominance in the Caribbean Series and bring glory to the Dominican Republic once again.
