An aerial drone photo taken on April 7, 2024, captured the magnificent sight of the cruise ship Serenade of the Seas docking at Tianjin International Cruise Home Port in North China’s Tianjin. The ship carried more than 1,800 tourists from 50 different countries and regions, marking a significant influx of international visitors to the region.
Efficient customs clearance procedures for foreign passengers have been put in place at the Tianjin Dongjiang border inspection station. These measures include pre-arrival paperwork verification, streamlined maritime processing, and the establishment of additional temporary visa processing windows, all aimed at ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience for foreign travelers.
Moreover, to enhance the convenience of payment for inbound foreign tourists, domestic payment guidelines have been made available at the site. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to improve the overall experience of foreign visitors during their travels in China.
Deputy General Manager of Tianjin International Cruise Home Port Co Ltd, Dong Zichen, revealed that the port has already received 22 cruise ships and hosted 68,000 tourist visits this year. These numbers underscore the growing appeal of Tianjin as a prominent destination for international cruise travel, highlighting the region’s increasing significance in the global tourism landscape.
