The Killers to Play Intimate Show at Tipitina’s Before New Orleans Jazz Fest Performance

Alternative rock band The Killers, known for headlining arenas, is set to close the main stage at the 2024 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. In a surprise move, the band announced a warm-up show at the intimate 750-capacity Tipitina’s the night before their Jazz Fest performance, causing a frenzy among fans.

Tickets for The Killers’ Tipitina’s show went on sale on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., priced at $95 plus fees. Demand was overwhelming, with tickets selling out in just one minute. Despite efforts to reserve some tickets for the band’s fan club, only a few hundred lucky fans were able to secure tickets.

Due to the unique ticket distribution method, where tickets must be picked up at the Tipitina’s will call on the night of the show, it is unlikely that tickets will surface on the secondary market. This exclusive show comes as a special treat for fans, as bands headlining Jazz Fest typically do not perform additional shows in the same market around festival time.

The Killers’ upcoming performance at Tipitina’s marks a rare opportunity for fans to experience the band in a more intimate setting before they take the stage at Jazz Fest. With overwhelming demand and limited capacity, it’s clear that The Killers’ show at Tipitina’s is one of the most highly anticipated events leading up to the festival.
