Target Confirmed as Anchor Tenant for Lake Nona West Lifestyle Shopping Center

Target has been confirmed as the anchor tenant for the upcoming Lake Nona West lifestyle shopping center developed by Tavistock. The retail powerhouse is set to occupy a 150,000-square-foot space within the 405,000-square-foot project located on the north side of Lake Nona Boulevard near Boggy Creek Road.

Target’s decision to lease a space in Lake Nona comes as no surprise to experts, considering the lack of a store in southeast Orlando, the Lake Nona region, or the rapidly growing St. Cloud area. The new large-format store model being rolled out by Target, which is 20,000 square feet larger than the average store, aligns with the company’s strategic focus on larger footprints in the coming years.

According to Tavistock Communications Manager Lismarie Gomez, Target’s presence as the anchor tenant at Lake Nona West is a significant development, with the retailer’s store forming a central component of the project. The lifestyle center is also set to feature a mix of junior anchor tenants, with further announcements expected regarding the specific concepts to be included.
