FirstEnergy Corp. Conducting $84.7 Million Tree Trimming Program in West Virginia

FirstEnergy Corp. subsidiaries Mon Power and Potomac Edison are conducting an $84.7 million tree-trimming program in West Virginia to enhance electric service reliability and prevent tree-related outages. The work includes trimming trees along nearly 1,100 miles of power lines and is expected to cover an additional 6,800 miles by the end of the year. President of FirstEnergy’s West Virginia Operations, Jim Myers, emphasizes the importance of tree trimming in reducing tree-related service interruptions for customers.
