Milwaukee’s lakefront July 3 fireworks have been canceled for 2024 due to lack of sponsorship, disappointing many residents. Despite the setback, Milwaukee County Parks Department remains committed to providing vibrant recreational spaces. The event typically costs $350,000 for pyrotechnics alone, with an additional $20,000 for staffing and services. Various sponsors have supported the event over the years, but recent challenges have led to its cancellation this year. Local residents are encouraged to attend fireworks displays at 14 county parks on July 4 as an alternative.
