GPD G1 ‘GPU Box’ Receives Significant Upgrade for Creative Professionals

The GPD G1, also known as the ‘GPU box’, is set to receive a significant upgrade, making it even more appealing to creative professionals. This external GPU allows users to enhance their laptop’s graphics without having to invest in a new machine or manually replace the GPU. Additionally, it can function as a docking station, catering to the needs of modern business laptops. The GPD G1 continues to operate on the Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, but has undergone improvements in three key areas including a physical toggle for silent and balanced modes, an upgraded Thunderbolt 4 controller, and an upgraded USB4 port. The upgraded GPD G1 is nearing mass production and is expected to be released by the end of the month.
