Students in South Central Region to Connect with NASA Astronaut on ISS

Exciting news for students in Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas as they are set to have a unique opportunity to connect with a NASA astronaut aboard the International Space Station. NASA has revealed that U.S astronaut Jeanette Epps will be fielding prerecorded questions from students of the South Central Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. during a 20-minute Earth-to-space call scheduled for Wednesday.

The live stream of the call will be available at 9:10 a.m. ET on various platforms including NASA+, NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website. This event marks another milestone in the ongoing presence of astronauts on the space station, where they have been conducting experiments, testing technologies, and honing skills necessary for future space exploration for over 23 years.

Communication between the astronauts on the space station and NASA’s Mission Control Center in Houston is facilitated through the SCaN (Space Communications and Navigation) Near Space Network, ensuring constant connectivity and support for the crew.
