In honor of those who have passed away, here is a compilation of obituaries posted on SILive.com. Grace O’Connor, 81, passed away peacefully on Feb. 1, surrounded by family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Judy Ann Capuccio of New Dorp peacefully passed away on Jan. 22, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Isabel Pesci passed away on Jan. 13, 2024, after a few short illnesses. Carmela “Millie” Chironna, a native Staten Islander, passed away on Jan. 31, 2024.
Grace O’Connor was happiest when in the company of her family. Judy Capuccio had a vibrant personality and embraced life with spirit. Isabel Pesci lived a long, wonderful life and was a very resilient, courageous, and loved woman. Carmela Chironna was predeceased by her husband, Valerio, and her infant son, Richard. She is survived by her sons: Robert, Ronald, and Jon, and her grandsons, Jason and Jon.
