The festivities continue on Sunday, October 27, with a Drag Brunch Halloweekend Party at Gracie’s Next Door in Tsawwassen, running from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Organizers are inviting guests to come prepared to be ‘boo-tified,’ promising an event filled with ghoulish queens, an entry cocktail, and some stunningly fierce looks.
For families looking for outdoor fun, Vandula Farms Market and Nursery will host the second part of its Pumpkin Patch Festival from October 26 to 27. Located on Ladner Trunk Road, this event will feature a variety of activities, including pumpkin picking, a hayride, a pop-up market, food trucks, and face painting. Admission to the festival is free, but there is a fee for the hayride, which starts at 10 AM, as well as for face painting and tarot card readings. Proceeds from these activities will benefit the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, making it a festive occasion with a charitable twist.
As the sun sets, the spooky vibes will intensify with Jonny’s Haunted Mansion, presented by Jonny’s Towing and Recovery and Arpeg Farms. From October 28 to 30, visitors can experience a chilling Halloween walk through the grounds of Grimwood Manor, known for its eerie appearance. Part of the proceeds from this event will support the Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust, adding a meaningful component to the frightful fun.
On Tuesday, October 29, the City of Delta’s Fright Fest will take place at the Ladner Community Centre from 4 PM to 8 PM. This family-friendly event will feature a haunted house, trick-or-treating around the McKee Seniors Centre, and a haunted house bouncy castle. The festivities don’t stop there; the Haunted House will also be available for exploration at McKee Music School on Monday, October 28, and Wednesday, October 30.
Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, will see the Delta Pride Society hosting its annual Halloween Dance at Harris Barn from 7 PM to 9 PM. Admission is just $5, and there will be a prize for the best costume, encouraging attendees to get creative and embrace the Halloween spirit.
No Halloween celebration in Ladner would be complete without the two-decade tradition known as Halloween Horror Delta. On Halloween night, from 6 PM to 9 PM, the Mistress of Darkness, Robyn Hasbach, will open her home at 5674 Grove Ave. for an evening of thrills and chills.
Across the border in Point Roberts, Halloween enthusiasts can join in on the fun as well. On Saturday, October 26, the local fire hall will host a Haunted House and social event from 1 PM to 3 PM.
