Sony Announces Wide November Release for Film ‘Here’ Directed by Robert Zemeckis

Sony has announced a wide November release for the upcoming film ‘Here’ directed by Robert Zemeckis, set to hit theaters on November 15. The film reunites the director, writer, and stars of the classic ‘Forrest Gump’ and will be distributed by TriStar Pictures.

Originally, ‘Here’ was planned for an exclusive premiere in Los Angeles and New York on the 15th, followed by a limited release on the 22nd and a wide release on the 27th. Other films scheduled to debut around the same time include A24’s horror thriller ‘Heretic’ featuring Hugh Grant, Amazon’s holiday film ‘Red One’ starring Dwayne Johnson, and an untitled Christmas movie from IFC Films.

‘Here’ is described as an original drama focusing on multiple families and a unique location they share. The storyline spans generations, aiming to capture the essence of the human experience at its core. The screenplay, adapted by Eric Roth & Zemeckis, is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Richard McGuire. The film stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright among others.

The production of ‘Here’ involved key figures such as Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Derek Hogue, and Bill Block as producers, with Jeremy Johns, Andrew Golov, and Thom Zadra as executive producers. The cast also includes Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, and Michelle Dockery.

International rights to the film are held by Miramax. Fans eagerly anticipating the release can mark their calendars for November 15 to witness this compelling and heartfelt narrative unfold on the big screen.
