Skull and Bones: How to Play PvP in the Pirate Game

Gamers have been eagerly anticipating the release of Skull and Bones, the pirate game from Ubisoft, which is set for full release on February 16, 2024. The game, which has been available in early access since February 13, brings the Black Flag style to life, allowing players to engage in ship battles and live as full-blown pirates.

While the core gameplay of Skull and Bones revolves around PvE, players are curious to know if the game features PvP as well. Contrary to a dedicated PvP mode, the game offers players the option to experience PvP through World Events or contracts.

Playing PvP in Skull and Bones

To engage in PvP in Skull and Bones, players must participate in World Events or contracts. Currently, two contracts allow players to experience PvP: Cutthroat Cargo Hunt and Hostile Takeover.

In the Cutthroat Cargo Hunt event, players are tasked with stealing cargo from a merchant ship and delivering it to a designated destination. This event enables players to not only steal cargo from merchant ships but also from other players. On the other hand, Hostile Takeover requires players to take over an outpost consisting of a production chain, turning the entire event into a race as other players also participate.

These are the current events that allow PvP in Skull and Bones, with expectations for Ubisoft to introduce additional PvP content in the future.
