Priced at a cool US$11,000 (NZ$18,000) per night, it comes with two bedrooms, separate living and dining areas, three walk-in wardrobes, a private wraparound veranda with its own spa pool, and a master bathroom dressed in nine kinds of marble. The suite is equipped with dual vanity units, a deep bathtub, a sauna and steam room, heated loungers, and a treatment area with unlimited complimentary spa services.
However, the most expensive item in the suite is the Hästens Vividus mattress, worth US$200,000 (NZ$328,000). This luxury sleeping accessory, handcrafted over nine weeks by Swedish company Hästens Sängar AB, is favored by celebrities like Beyonce, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie. The wooden frame is crafted from slow-growing pine, while steel springs and layers of flax create a soundproof sleeping experience. The mattress is also filled with a combination of wool, cotton, and horsetail hair, braided by hand to act like tiny springs, providing support and leaving guests feeling as if they are floating while sleeping.
Guests also have the opportunity to select linen and pillows from an Italian bedding menu boasting impressive thread counts and materials like Alaskan goose down. The room comes with a huge TV that pops out of the footboard, and the suite is filled with intricate hand-blown vases and original lithographs by Picasso on the living room walls.
