ScreenPoint Medical Deploys Transpara Breast AI at Johns Hopkins Medicine to Enhance Cancer Detection

ScreenPoint Medical has announced the deployment of its Transpara Breast AI at Johns Hopkins Medicine to enhance cancer detection for breast cancer screening patients. This move will benefit radiologists and patients in over 50 sites across 5 states and the District of Columbia.

The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, recognized as a ‘Center of Excellence’ by the National Cancer Institute, conducts a significant number of breast imaging exams and interventional procedures annually. The decision to implement Transpara followed a comprehensive evaluation of the software’s evidence, effectiveness, and performance on selected cases by the breast imaging team at Johns Hopkins.

The installation of Transpara Breast AI at 7 locations at Johns Hopkins was a collaborative effort between the ScreenPoint customer success team and the clinical and IT teams. The aim is to enhance screening workflow, decision confidence, and breast cancer diagnostic assessment, ultimately aiding radiologists in the early detection of breast cancer and reducing recall rates.

Nicki Bryan, VP of Sales at ScreenPoint Medical, expressed delight in Johns Hopkins’ trust in the company’s technology, stating, ‘Transpara is the most clinically validated breast AI on the market, proven to enhance radiologists’ ability to detect breast cancer as early as possible.’
