San Antonio Solar Eclipse Watch Party

Get ready for the total solar eclipse on April 8th, which will cast a shadow over the northwestern half of San Antonio for two to four minutes, beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. To make the most of this rare event, several venues in San Antonio are hosting eclipse-themed watch parties for locals and visitors alike.

The Moon’s Daughter, located on the 20th floor of the Thompson Hotel, is organizing a solar eclipse brunch featuring signature eclipse-themed cocktails. With a brunch buffet, a complimentary welcome drink, and a special pair of The Moon’s Daughters Solar Eclipse sunglasses, this event promises a unique and memorable experience for attendees. The rooftop bar will open its doors at 11 a.m. at 115 Lexington Ave. Tickets are priced at $99 for those aged 21 and above.

Chicken N Pickle, a popular pickleball restaurant chain, will also be hosting an “electrifying” solar eclipse watch party. Attendees will receive solar eclipse glasses on a first-come, first-served basis and can savor a special margarita called the Dark Side of the Moon, along with happy hour specials. The event will take place from noon to 2:25 p.m. at 5215 UTSA Blvd.

For those with a sweet tooth, The Meadows Original Frozen Custard of Helotes is offering a solar eclipse-themed frozen custard at its eclipse watch party, complete with free solar eclipse viewing glasses. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 14018 Bandera Road.
