Samsung Set to Launch Galaxy Ring Smart Ring with Health and Fertility Tracking Features

Samsung is set to launch its new Galaxy Ring, a smart ring with health tracking features and fertility monitoring through the Natural Cycles app. The company unveiled the Galaxy Ring at its Galaxy Unpacked event in January, and it is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July 2022.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring has appeared in Samsung’s stock battery widget, indicating an imminent launch. The addition of the Galaxy Ring to the Battery Widget suggests that the company will introduce its first smart ring in the coming weeks or months, according to a report by Sammobile.

Expected to be available in platinum silver, ceramic black, and gold variants, the Galaxy Ring features a concave design and a lightweight build. It comes in sizes 5 to 13, denoted S to XL within the band, and houses a compact battery ranging from 14.5mAh to 21.5mAh.

The Galaxy Ring will track various health metrics using its built-in sensor array, including heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep movement, and sleep onset time. Additionally, it will integrate cycle and fertility tracking through the Natural Cycles app, offering 5 to 9 days of battery life on a single charge, as disclosed by Samsung’s Hon Pak.
