Rockstar Games introduced official drift races in Grand Theft Auto 5 Online in December 2023, but many players are still unaware of the GTA 5 drift cars list. Despite numerous drift-compatible cars in the game, only a select few are officially recognized as drift cars due to their unique customization features. As of March 2024, Rockstar Games offers eight cars suitable for online Drift Races, equipped with the new Drift Tuning modification that significantly alters their performance output.
The GTA 5 drift car list includes the Dinka Jester RR, Fathom FR36, Karin Futo GTX, Annis ZR350, Annis Euros, Annis Remus, Declasse Drift Tampa, and Declasse Drift Yosemite. While speculation suggests the potential addition of new drift cars with the upcoming GTA 5 story DLC, official details are awaited. Notably, except for the Fathom FR36, all other GTA 5 drift cars were already available in the game and had been used for drifting for ages. The fastest car among the eight is the Dinka Jester RR, with a top speed of 125.00 mph (201.17 km/h), while the slowest is the Declasse Drift Yosemite, with a top speed of 108.25 mph (174.21 km/h).
Despite the popularity of drifting as a sport, the GTA 5 drift cars list is relatively short compared to other race modes in the game. Players anticipate the addition of more options to the drift car list. In the meantime, the existing vehicles can be equipped with the Drift Tune Modification from the Los Santos Car Meet workshop, allowing players to hone their drifting skills while awaiting further updates from Rockstar Games.
