Rising Star: Notre Dame’s Riley Davis Making Waves in Basketball

Academy of Notre Dame’s Riley Davis, daughter of former MLB player Ben Davis and athlete Megan (nee McGonagle), is making waves as a freshman varsity starter in basketball. With her impressive family pedigree and skillset, she’s quickly gaining attention in the sport.

Riley, a sweet-shooting combo guard, recently led her team to a 41-22 victory over Inter-Ac League rival Episcopal Academy, scoring a game-high 17 points. Her performance on the court is turning heads and earning her well-deserved recognition.

When asked about her experience, Riley expressed her enthusiasm, stating, ‘It’s so much fun, I couldn’t ask for a better school. It was either here or a public school and I am 100% more happy that I came here. I love it here. Everyone is so welcoming here and it is so much fun to play on such a good team with such good coaches.’

With her family’s history in sports and her own talent, Riley Davis is undoubtedly a rising star to watch in the world of basketball.
