Private Plow Companies in Milwaukee Grateful for Unexpected Spring Snowfall

Private plow companies in Milwaukee are expressing their gratitude for the unexpected spring snowfall, which has provided a much-needed boost to their business. The late-season snow has come as a relief for plow drivers who have faced challenges throughout the winter. Frank Alioto, who has been in the snowplow business for 15 years, emphasized the additional effort required to plow wet snow, stating that it takes about twice as long.

Alioto, the owner of Trifecta Solutions, shared his enthusiasm for the flexibility of the business, which specializes in snow removal during the winter and landscaping in the summer. He highlighted the satisfaction of leaving a parking lot immaculately clean after clearing and salting it, expressing his appreciation for the extra work opportunities that come his way through an app.

City of Milwaukee plows had been deployed the previous evening to clear major streets and routes for the morning commute, with crews, both public and private, working extended shifts to ensure the safety of the roads. Despite the demanding nature of the job, Alioto acknowledged the rewarding aspect of the work and its significance in contributing to his company’s winter revenue.

He emphasized the financial challenges faced by small companies due to the lack of snowfall during the winter season, making the late-season snowfall a crucial factor in sustaining their operations. While expressing gratitude for the current snowfall, Alioto also expressed hope for a heavier snowfall in the following year.

The unexpected snowfall has provided a much-needed opportunity for private plow companies to generate revenue and ensure the safety of the roads, offering a glimpse of hope for businesses that have faced financial strain due to the lack of snowfall during the winter.
