Pokemon Go Fans Disappointed Over Missing Feature in Lustrous Odyssey Event

Pokemon Go fans have expressed disappointment as they believe Niantic has overlooked a crucial feature in the ongoing Lustrous Odyssey event. Despite the event generating high anticipation among players, it appears that not all the promised elements have made their way into the game, leaving many bewildered.

The Lustrous Odyssey event was eagerly awaited by numerous Pokemon Go enthusiasts, especially those eager to capture Dusk Form Lycanroc and complete their Pokedex. The event was supposed to introduce various new wild spawns, Shiny Pokemon, rewards, and more. However, it seems that Niantic may have overlooked a key aspect that was initially assured to players.

Expressing their frustration on Reddit, one user shared a meme highlighting the absence of the previously promised Shiny Espeon and Umbreon in the Lustrous Odyssey event. When the event was first announced, players were excited about the prospect of encountering Shiny Espeon and Umbreon in the wild. Nevertheless, reports soon surfaced about their non-appearance, leading some to speculate that Niantic might have simply forgotten about them.

Following the post, a user quoted Niantic’s response in the comments, stating, “Trainers, due to a bug, Shiny Espeon and Umbreon were not available during the Lustrous Odyssey event. A free box with 5 potions will be in the shop as compensation until January 17th, 2024 at 11:59 PM PDT. We thank you for your patience.”

It appears that a bug prevented the inclusion of these Pokemon in the event, resulting in their removal. While many players understood the issue and appreciated the compensation, some felt that the offer was inadequate. One fan expressed disappointment with the quality of the reward, commenting, “But not the good potions, the crappy purple ones,” while another stated, “Dammit, now I have more stuff to delete.”

Although the absence of the highly anticipated Pokemon in the wild is undoubtedly frustrating, players can still obtain Shiny Umbreon and Shiny Espeon through alternative methods in the game.
