Pennsylvania Hunters Prepare for Upcoming Hunting Season

Hunters in Pennsylvania are gearing up for the upcoming hunting and trapping season as hunting licenses are set to go on sale starting Monday at 8 a.m. State residents can conveniently purchase their general licenses online with shipping costs included for mailed licenses. However, those opting to buy their licenses in person will not incur any shipping charges and will receive their licenses and harvest tags immediately.

An important update for this year is that Pennsylvania resident hunters now have the opportunity to buy a general license simultaneously with an antlerless deer license in specific Wildlife Management Units. On the other hand, nonresident hunters will have to wait until July 8 to purchase antlerless licenses.

The commencement of the new license year is scheduled for July 1st. The Game Commission is also seeking feedback from hunters regarding their license purchasing experience. For those interested in buying a license or seeking more information, they can visit the Game Commission’s website.
