Ohio State Women’s Basketball Team Victorious in Hard-Fought Game Against Maryland

Ohio State’s women’s basketball team emerged victorious in a hard-fought game against Maryland, with a final score of 84-76. The game saw a dominant fourth quarter from Ohio State, which proved too much for the Maryland team to overcome.

The game started with a sloppy, fast-paced feel-out period for both teams, with a combined 1/7 start on shots from the field and nine total first-quarter turnovers. However, the Terps managed to take an early lead, which extended to as much as five points in the first quarter.

Both teams continued the back-and-forth play into the second quarter, with the Terps creating some separation midway through the quarter. However, Ohio State answered back, resulting in a close score at the end of the first half.

Despite not scoring or attempting a shot in the first half, Shyanne Sellers made an impact in the third quarter, helping the Terps to maintain their position in the game. However, Ohio State’s strong performance in the fourth quarter led them to victory.

Head coach Brenda Frese expressed her pride in the team’s energy and effort, despite the loss. The game showcased a strong performance from both teams, with Ohio State ultimately securing the win.
