Square Enix® has made a significant announcement today regarding the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series, stating that the game is now accessible on all console platforms, including the PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Windows PC and STEAM®). This news comes as OCTOPATH TRAVELER launches on the PlayStation Store, expanding its availability to a wider audience.

Since its initial release in 2018, the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series has garnered immense popularity, selling over four million copies worldwide. The series is known for its distinctive HD-2D art style, blending 2D character designs with visually stunning 3D environments. Each game in the series offers a standalone experience with eight unique protagonists, each with their own compelling stories and Path Actions for players to explore.

To mark the milestone of the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series being accessible on all current consoles and PC platforms, Team Asano has introduced a free update to OCTOPATH TRAVELER II. This update includes the ‘Extra Battle’ mode, allowing players to challenge themselves against formidable opponents, including the main characters from the game. The ‘Extra Battle’ mode is available on Xbox consoles from launch and has been added to the PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions through an update.
