NVIDIA Releases GeForce 555.85 WHQL Driver Update with DLSS 3 Frame Generation and More

NVIDIA has released the latest GeForce 555.85 WHQL driver, bringing a host of new features and improvements for Windows 10 and 11 users. The update, known as ‘F1 24’, introduces support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation and DLAA in DLSS 2 mode. It also includes enhancements for Reflex and ray tracing effects, aiming to enhance responsiveness and visual fidelity.

Several popular titles are set to benefit from these updates. ‘Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga’ will see improvements in frame rates and reduced latency with DLSS 3 Frame Generation and Reflex support. ‘Serum’ will also receive enhancements in performance and image quality through DLSS 3 Frame Generation, DLAA, and Reflex. Ubisoft’s ‘XDefiant’ will gain Reflex support for minimized latency and improved player responsiveness.

Moreover, the GeForce 555.85 WHQL drivers expand support for optimal settings through GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA App for games like ‘Bellwright’, ‘Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut’, ‘Homeworld 3’, and ‘Infection Free Zone’. This feature allows users to automatically configure game settings for the best balance of visual quality and performance.

The update also extends G-SYNC compatibility, with 11 new display models from manufacturers like ASUS, Dell, Philips, IO-Data, and LG now validated as G-SYNC compatible. This validation ensures a smoother, tear-free experience on displays supporting variable refresh rates.

Key issues addressed in this update include a fix for a random crash during ‘Tekken 8’ gameplay on GTX 10-series ‘Pascal’ graphics cards. Another fix ensures proper GPU utilization for ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ when using Reflex with the Boost feature. Additionally, a bug affecting motion blur rendering in Blender Cycles on certain GPU generations has been corrected.

For desktop GPU support, NVIDIA TITAN RTX, NVIDIA TITAN V, NVIDIA TITAN Xp, NVIDIA TITAN X (Pascal), GeForce GTX TITAN X, GeForce GTX TITAN, GeForce GTX TITAN Black, GeForce GTX TITAN Z, GeForce RTX 4090, GeForce RTX 4080 (SUPER), GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (SUPER), GeForce RTX 4070 (SUPER), GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, GeForce RTX 4060, GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080, and more are supported.
