Nikon has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing firmware updates to its users with the release of the Nikon Z9 firmware version 5.00. This marks the fourth major update since the flagship mirrorless camera’s launch in October 2021.
The latest firmware, arriving nine months after the release of version 4.00, enhances the Auto Capture function with new features and control. Auto Capture can now detect subjects, motion, and distance, automatically capturing images when specific conditions are met. This is particularly beneficial for wildlife and sports photographers.
With the 5.00 update, photographers can now specify the shooting start date and time, as well as shooting duration for Auto Capture. This not only helps reduce battery consumption but also enables more efficient shooting, making the Z9 a better fit for professional workflows.
