First up is the slasher sequel Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II from Fathom Events, which was released into theaters on March 26 for a limited three-day run until March 28. Directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the film takes audiences deep within the 100-Acre-Wood, where Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger find their home and lives endangered after Christopher Robin’s revelation of their existence. The group decides to take the fight to the town of Ashdown, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake. The film features a cast including Tallulah Evans, Alina Desmond, Scott Chambers, Ryan Oliva, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney, with the screenplay written by Matt Leslie.

Adding to the Easter horror genre, Easter Bloody Easter has made its debut, available for rental on VOD outlets. The film follows Jeanie and her friend Carol as they embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the town’s dark legend of the killer Jackalope. They must team up with professional bunny slayer Megan to save their small Texan town and stop the Jackalope once and for all. The team behind the movie is hopeful that it will launch a franchise, pending the audience’s response.
